More Than a Dozen Women Have Accused a San Diego Sheriff’s Deputy of Sexual Misconduct

San Diego County is on the hook for $906,000 and counting as a result of multiple cases of alleged misconduct by a single sheriff’s deputy.

The county just reached a $204,000 settlement with a woman known as T.S. who claims the deputy returned to her house after completing a burglary investigation and touched her inappropriately. T.S. is one of four alleged victims to reach legal settlements with the county pertaining to the same deputy so far. Eleven other cases against him are pending.

In addition to the civil cases, the deputy is facing a criminal trial this year. The allegations against him range from indecent exposure and groping to sexual assault.

The county has not commented on the latest settlement.
