Vallie Brown Appointed to San Francisco Board of Supervisors

San Francisco Mayor London Breed has appointed former legislative aide Vallie Brown to replace her on the Board of Supervisors.

"I've known Vallie for 15 years. She has fought for our neighborhoods for decades. I'm excited to appoint her as supervisor because I know she will take the fight that she has fought in our neighborhoods to City Hall," Breed said in a statement.

Vallie worked for Breed between 2013 and 2016 and previously served as a legislative aide for Ross Mirkarimi. Most recently, she was employed as a project manager with San Francisco’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development where she worked on affordable housing.

Vallie will represent the city’s 5th District -- which includes the Fillmore District, Western Addition, Hayes Valley, Haight-Ashbury, Alamo Square, Japantown and the Inner Sun -- until the next election in November 2019.
