OCTA Board of Directors Selects New Chair, Vice Chair

The Orange County Transportation Authority’s Board of Directors will soon welcome a new chair and vice chair. La Habra City Councilman Tim Shaw has been chosen to replace outgoing Chairwoman Lisa Bartlett on the 18-member Board. Director Steve Jones, who has served on the OCTA for six years and currently serves as Mayor of Garden Grove, was named vice chair.

Shaw has been serving as vice chairman for the past year and has represented the county’s Fourth District on the Board since 2012. During his tenure, he has served on both its Executive Committee and Legislative and Communications Committee.

“This is an important time for Orange County transportation and I am honored to be chosen by my colleagues to help lead an agency that works diligently to improve the lives of our residents,” Shaw said (Orange County Breeze). “I look forward to working with my colleagues on the board, our staff and the public on vital projects such as the I-405 Improvement Project, the OC Streetcar and enhancing OC Bus service.”
