Volunteer Advocates Needed for L.A. Foster Children
If you’re a reliable and compassionate person with an extra 10 to 15 hours to spare each month, Los Angeles County children could use your help.
L.A. is looking for volunteer court appointed special advocates for foster children. CASAs visit children in school, accompany them to court, and write written reports for judges on their behalf.
Compared to fostering, “it’s a much lesser commitment, but still has a huge impact on a child’s life,” Wende Julian, CEO of CASA of LA, told CBS Los Angeles.
