State monitoring 29 counties Where COVID-19 is On the Rise

The state added three more counties to its coronavirus watch list last week, bringing the total number to 29. That means half of all California counties are now being flagged for rising infections, hospitalizations, and deaths.

Counties that remain on the watchlist for three consecutive days must close a number of indoor businesses such as bars and indoor dining.

The following counties have been identified as areas of concern:

Kern

Kings

Los Angeles

Madera

Marin

Merced

Monterey

Napa

Orange

Placer

Riverside

Sacramento

San Benito

San Bernardino

San Diego

San Joaquin

Santa Barbara

Solano

Ventura

Yolo

Yuba
