Husband of LA District Attorney Charged for Pulling a Gun on Protesters

The husband of Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey is facing criminal charges for pulling a gun on Black Lives Matter protesters who had gathered outside his home several months ago.

The incident happened on March 2. The demonstrators outside the Lacey home were unarmed, but Lacey said her husband didn't know that. The state attorney general filed three misdemeanor charges against David Lacey on Monday for assault with a firearm.

David Lacey is a former investigative auditor with the District Attorney’s Office. His wife, DA Jackie Lacey, is facing her toughest re-election challenge yet this November. Black Lives Matter, criminal justice, and policing issues are at the center of the campaign to replace her.
