Free At-Home COVID Tests Available to Residents of Santa Ana and Anaheim
Orange County has partnered with Ambry Genetics on a program to provide 11,000 free at-home coronavirus testing kits to residents of Santa Ana and Anaheim — two cities that have been hit hard by the pandemic. The program will be expanded next month when 500,000 testing kits become available on a “rolling basis” for all of Orange County.
Anaheim or Santa Ana residents can visit oc.care.ambrygen.com to request a testing kit now. It will be mailed within 24-48 hours. Pick-up options are also available. The kits come with detailed instructions and results are made available online within one to three days after the lab receives the specimen.
Orange County recorded 1,058 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the county's total case number to 77,819. Hospitalizations also increased nearly 12% in one day. Fatalities now stand at 1,577. That number was unchanged.
