LA County Worker Arrested for US Capitol Breach
A Los Angeles County employee has been arrested and charged in connection with the US Capitol breach on Jan. 6.
Lois Lynn McNicoll of San Clemente, a 69-year-old Department of Public Social Services worker, was identified from footage posted to the Facebook page of ABC7 News. Like many right-wing activists, McNicoll doesn’t appear to be too fond of mask-wearing. Her uncovered face was easily identified by an LA County co-worker.
The footage shows McNicoll in a white Trump hat, draped in a “Trump Country'' flag, entering the Capitol with a group of rioters. Inside, McNicoll appeared to take pictures and video with her cell phone, according to an affidavit. That’s a claim the defendant has denied.
McNicoll has been charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without lawful authority, violent entry, and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
