
Sacramento County Recognizes Trans Visibility Week
The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors has voted to recognize Transgender Visibility Week.
The resolution, approved on March 28, states that Transgender Visibility Week will be recognized annually the Monday before March 31 to the Monday after. During this time and throughout the year, “the County of Sacramento will commit to reducing disparities, while celebrating the history and present day lives of transgender people by continuing to work with, support, and uplift County staff and community partners who are working towards equity and representation to improve the lives of transgender individuals in our county,” according to the resolution.
The vote was 4-1 with Supervisor Sue Frost voting no.
