OC Supervisor Katrina Foley Fined by FPPC

Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley has been fined $1,800 by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) for receiving $762 in Chargers games tickets and then failing to report them within 30 days.

Foley received the tickets in 2017 while she was serving as mayor of Costa Mesa. According to the FPPC, Foley did not try to conceal the tickets, nor did they constitute a conflict of interest.

The value of the tickets did exceed the legal gift limit of $470. Foley was fined $1,600 for receiving gifts in excess of $470 and was fined another $200 for late reporting.
